Last year's grand prize winner, Araceli Padilla of Araceli Padilla Insurance Agency was awarded $2,500 in cash, ten Motorola Droid 2 smartphones and service for one year on these devices. "When my name was announced as the winner of Verizon's Latino Small Business Award, I was in disbelief because I knew that my hard work and sacrifice was being acknowledged by someone else.
